Put your career on the fast track. Harford Community College is holding an information night about its new accelerated AAS degree in Information Assurance and Cybersecurity on Monday, June 24, 5 to 7 PM, in Joppa Hall, Room 8. The accelerated program, which starts this fall, can be completed in just 17 months. A traditional two-year degree normally takes a minimum of 24 months to complete. Learn the same skills in less time for faster entry into the cyber world. Join us to learn how to get started. RSVP:

Harford’s accelerated program prepares students for this rapidly growing field. Cyber courses will be taught in a hybrid format with a mix of traditional face-to-face in a cyber lab setting in the evening and also with an online component. The general education courses will be offered online. The College offers credit for prior learning. If coursework was completed at another institution for cyber certifications, HCC may accept those credentials and meet students where they are.

By offering the new accelerated program, the College will help to build a regional workforce pipeline to effectively and quickly fill the critical need for a skilled cybersecurity workforce.

In October 2018, the College was awarded a three-year $466,488 Advanced Technological Education (ATE) grant by the National Science Foundation (NSF) entitled “Hire Harford First” to develop an accelerated Information Assurance and Cybersecurity AAS degree program.
