A new two-person exhibition entitled “Works by William Ruller and Stephanie Serpick” will be on display in the Chesapeake Gallery in Harford Community College’s Student Center from September 23 to November 8. The public is invited to a reception on Monday, September 23, from 12:30 to 2 PM in the Gallery.

The exhibition blends together the mixed media book works of William Ruller with the oil paintings of Stephanie Serpick for an experience overlapping with themes of loss, abandonment, loneliness, and change. Through the use of color, texture, composition, subject matter and craftsmanship, both artists create intimate works of art that offer a viewing experience that is both engaging and self-reflective in nature. Ruller’s works are inspired by the colors, textures and emotions inspired by deserted mills and tanneries. Serpick’s work deals with issues of personal loss and loneliness.

The Chesapeake Gallery is open Monday to Thursday, 8:30 AM to 7 PM; and Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
