Our Mission:

The Learning Center assists students with course content by promoting learning strategies and study skills to help students become lifelong learners.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Learning Center is providing remote services.
For questions and inquiries about the Learning Center, please email learningcenter@harford.edu.

Types of sessions provided by the Learning Center during the COVID-19 closure:

  • Remote Drop-In Sessions - To request a remote drop-in session with a learning assistant, please complete the request form. Once your request is received, your session will be scheduled within 48 hours.
  • Individual Remote Sessions – Please complete the request form in order to be considered for individual learning assistance. After submitting the form, the Student Success  Specialist will contact you to schedule a meeting to develop your Student Success Plan and to discuss your learning request.
  • Online learning assistance (NetTutor) – All student requests will include an account with NetTutor, our online tutoring service. This is a valuable support for content questions and study strategies for your courses.

  • Course textbook and notes
  • Course assignment and related content
  • Specific questions for the session
  • Copy of draft (if speech or paper)
  • Record sheet (if applicable)
